Shiplake Lodge No. 7942

Unlike the majority of Lodges, Shiplake is a “summer lodge” and meets five times a year between April and October. It also meets to practise the ritual and hold a number of social events when our partners, and masonic and non- masonic guests join us in having fun and raising money for charity.

Several of our members are motorcyclists but we have a wide range of interests from rugby, golf, cricket, fishing and a Samaritan volunteer. Similarly we have a diverse list of professions including IT, engineering, plumbing, building, planning consultant, chef, training officer and retirees

A quote from a recent guest to the Lodge:

“The ceremony and the festive board (dinner) were enjoyed by all as Shiplake’s inimitable style ensured a balance of good ritual and relaxed bonhomie”
